Since there are only very few original Sport Quattro E2, Klaus Herchenbach had no choice but to consider a copy. With Dirk Schauf in Thuringia a specialist was finally found who could realize that project. The body was built from the front end of an Audi 80, the floor of the Urquattro and the rear section of the Quattro Coupé. It took three years until the E2 with a short-ratio rally gearbox and approx. 580hp was perfectly finished. Mehr >

After the 2002 Monte Carlo Rally, Guy Wilks drove this Puma mainly in the British Championship and, after several retirements, only managed to finish fifth. In 2003, this Puma was driven by Ryan Champion and at the end of the season, when Ford closed their rally departments, it was sold on. In 2004, Ollie McPhillips drove it in Ireland. Ryan Champion switched to Mitsubishi for the 2004 season and finished runner-up in the British Championship in 2006. Mehr >

The Stacey family didn't have enough with one Ford Escort – after all, there was also son Mike alongside father Gerard. To celebrate the perfect pairing, they quickly built a second Rothmans Escort. So, if you see two of these Escorts flying past you sideways on the demonstration tracks, it's not a hallucination, just the Stacy family having some fun. Mehr >

For many years, this Ford Escort was driven in the Netherlands and Belgium by the pilots Biesheuvel and van Haren until Gerard Stacey bought it and transferred it into the Rothmans colours from 1981. For the 2023 season, he even repainted the interior in matt black, just like it was with Ari Vatanen back then. This allowed him to start in the main field of the Eifel Rallye Festival. Mehr >

This car is one of three Nissan 240RS that, in 2008, were brought from Kenya to Germany for participation in Slowly Sideways events. Unfortunately, the restoration process was not quite as easy as had been hoped because there are hardly any spare parts to find anywhere in the world, all 240RS parts seem to have vanished. And in contrast to many other rally cars, there are no road versions of the 240RS in Europe that can be used as donor cars for lamps, moldings etc. Mehr >

After Portugal in 1994 this Celica was sold to Toyota Team Sweden. TTS then sold it to a private customer in Norway who kept it for a couple of years and then sold to David Greer in Northern Ireland in 1997. It was rallied by a number of people during this period as Celica’s were extremely popular in Ireland. A majority of the original ST185 Celica’s ended up in Ireland and also ended their life there as they were almost rallied to extinction. This car survived and the last Irish owner who Nicky Grist bought it from was Sean McGeehan. Mehr >

The double German Rally Champion Harald Demuth (in 1982 and 1984 at the wheel of an Audi Quattro) has been part of the Eifel Rallye Festival every year since its foundation in 2011. For 2025, the long-time works driver for Audi, will drive a Sport Quattro owned by Audi Tradition. During his days as a professional rally driver, Demuth drove a Sport Quattro only once: on the RAC Rally of 1986 where he retired with engine failure. Mehr >
