After the 1980 season, Mercedes decided to withdraw from rallying in 1981, despite the good results it had achieved. As a result, five cars were destroyed by the factory, and only chassis no. 628 and 2128, with their rallying numbers 6 and 8 from the Bandama were kept and displayed side-by-side in the Mercedes Museum. While no. 628 (no. 6 on the Bandama Rally) was sold in 2005 to Claude Ruiz Picasso (who didn't register or use the car), no. 2128 still belongs to the museum. This therefore makes car no. Mehr >

Kulläng
This very rare Rally Kadett has filled our entries in the past many times, and Matthias Schumacher was able to acquire it so that he can continue to show it at demo events. After all, this Kadett was Opel's first breakthrough in rallying and was affordable for many private drivers. Rally drivers on Sundays and going to work with it on Mondays. Mehr >

Nittel
In 2006, Robert Helmert and Daniel Rexhausen brought the former RalliArt Germany Evo 3 back from Romania. The restoration to its original condition was carried out carefully, painstakingly and with great attention to detail, taking a total of seven years. Due to the poor condition of the car, the project took more than 1,000 working hours in total, and Georg Mahla, who had built it at RalliArt back in 1994, experienced a few scary moments, as many parts were no longer available and had to be rebuilt. This Nissan 240RS was built by Nissan Team Europe (Blydenstein) in England and then sold to Ashok Patel as a customer car. The Kenyan painted the car in red and entered the 1986 Safari Rally where it retired. Then this 240RS was used in the Kenyan National Championship for ten years where it won one event overall. This car is one of three Nissan 240RS that were brought from Kenya to Germany in 2008 for participation in Slowly Sideways events. Mehr >

Original
In the 1980s, Wolfgang Peuker drove a normal Opel Manta road car himself and the Manta 400 seemed like an unreachable dream car to him. But then in 2013, this Manta was for sale and he grabbed it, not knowing its history which came as a plesant surprise later. A complete restauration began and in 2014 it came out of Wolfgang’s workshop in its new and old Jim Beam livery, just as it was driven by Sepp Haider in 1985. Mehr >
