Opel Ascona A - 1973, Gr. 2 - Herbert Heimrich/Bernd Paul


On a Saturday night in late February 1973, Herbert Heimrich saw Walter Röhrl driving on a special stage of the Rüsselsheim Rally and was so impressed that he knew he had to have an Ascona like that one day. But that would take time... It was not until 1997 that a basic Ascona was purchased, and this had to wait until 2018 before work began on converting it into the ‘Röhrl’ Ascona. This Renault 5 Turbo is owned by Frank Hachmann since 1992 and was completely rebuilt between 2003 and 2005. The engine has 1397cc and with an engine kit from Renault Sport and a Devil exhaust delivers 200bhp. Mehr >

Opel Ascona 400 - 1982, Gr. 4 - Thomas Griesche/Manuela Griesche


Thomas Griesche has owned an Opel Ascona 400 road version with wheel arches since 1990. He had it rebuilt by the Rüdiger Wolf company in Rockenhausen into a Gr. 4 car similar to the one that won the Rally Monte Carlo in 1982. Mehr >

Talbot Sunbeam Lotus - 1981, Gr. 2 - Garry Gee/Thomas Jones


This is a brand new car commissioned and built for Gary Gee by the former works team members, Jim Little and Philip Davison. Jim ran Russell Brookes and John Buffum in the European Championship back in the 1980s as part of Talbot’s World Championship season. This car has been built from scratch with all original parts by Mr. Little who has ensured that everything is exactly to the original works specifications. This Ford drove in the Middle East Rally Championship in 1995 with Abdullah Bakhashab, then came via Hungary, Spain and Italy to the French Gravel Championship for 1997. In 1998 it returned to Italy and finally to Lars Zander. He restored it and passed it on to John Fordy in 2024. Mehr >

Renault 5 Alpine - 1978, Gr. 2 - Jean Fiddelaers/Didier Bienstman


This Renault R5 was converted from a road car to a rally car in 2002. Then in 2013, Jean Fiddelars bought the car. Since then he drives it on selected Alpine club sport and classic car event such as the Ice Trophy in Austria. Mehr >

Audi Sport Quattro Pikes Peak - 1987, Gr. Prototyp - Coen Donkers/Jos Huibers


In the Dutch town of Veghel, Coen Donkers runs his own Audi workshop and apart from repairing road cars he specialized in the replication of famous rally cars. His favourite cars have always been the Sport Quattro, the winged Sport Quattro E2 and also the Pikes Peak version of the E2 driven by Walter Röhrl in 1987. Before starting to build his own Pikes Peak car, Donkers collected ca. 1,000 photos of the original car which is owned by Audi and also measured the car’s dimensions thoroughly. Mehr >

A standard Alpine A 110 was transferred from Thomas Delago into an exact copy of the works cars that dominated the second half of the 1973 rally season. Its glass-fibre body makes the car only 750 kg heavy. Mehr >

Lancia Stratos - 1976, Gr. 4 - Claus Aulenbacher/Andreas Mirow


This Lancia was built from an original road car into a perfect copy of the works cars used by the factory in 1976. Only the cockpit was strengthened to take into account today's safety concerns and it is one of only very few that is powered today by a 4-valve engine thanks to new cylinder heads made. Mehr >
