Ford Escort RS1800 - 1978, Gr. 4 - Johannes Wagner/Thomas Klamerski
Mikkola

As years of searching for a ready-built and reasonably priced Escort MK2 remained unsuccessful, Johannes Wagner built one completely from scratch on his own. In September 2019, a matching 2-door Escort MK2 base model was purchased and a year later, in October 2020, the build began. In November 2021, the Escort was then approved by the MOT and registered for the road again. Another year later, he used it for the first time in a rally, the Ried Rally Sprint 2022 in Ichenheim. Ford Falcon Sprint GT - 1964, Gr. 2 - Hemmo Vriend/Finn Schraa
Hill, Graham

You often poke around in the dark when it comes to the history of rallying. Hemmo Vriend had a red Ford Falcon and wanted to prepare it for the 2024 Eifel Rallye Festival. But was there ever a red one? He was even able to speak to Lee Holman on the phone, who had prepared the rally Falcons with the company Holman&Moody in the 1960s; he also only remembered white and a blue one, red had later been Alan Mann's circuit Falcons. So Hemmo decided to repaint the Falcon in the original white colour from 1964. Mehr >

Audi Quattro - 1981, Gr. 4 - Andrew Trayner/Tania Short
Mikkola

Andrew Trayner started to build this car from an original white Audi Quattro in 2007. The car continues to evolve with parts being replicated from the original group 4 cars. For him half the joy is researching and manufacturing the parts. Group 4 cars were rapidly changing so it can be hard to pin down the spec for the car as every period photo generally reveals something new. He based his car on the 1981 Lombard RAC Rally car because it was the winner of that event. Mehr >
