In 2011, this Alpine was disassembled and built up completely. When building up the car, the works cars from the Tour de Corse of 1974 were used as examples. Mehr >

Kleint
This Ford Escort originally raced in Greece as a circuit car, then came to Germany, where Jonas Bellinger converted it into a rally car and Tanja Zingelmann took it over. Tanja is no newcomer to rallying. She has been driving mainly in VW Golfs since 1986 and even won the Stormann Rally in 1992 and the Hamburg Championship in 1997. Then family planning came first. Peter Zima got this car from Cyprus, restored its bodywork but otherwise left it technically in the 1992 specification in which it had been changed by Abarth. Peter Zima had previously compiled a database of Lancia Gr.A chassis and so knew that this "gravel delta" with Ducati paint, owned by the Opel general importer of Cyprus until 2003, was the winning car from the 1991 Safari. Then Peter Zima went in search of the specific Safari parts. What he did not find, he rebuilt. So today it shines in new splendour. Mehr >

Blomqvist
Gerhard and a Saab have been an integral part of slowly sideways for years. Gerhard Zeier has – just like Stig Blomqvist – a lot of experience in left-foot braking which he uses to steering the Saab sideways around the corners. Zeier has this experience from many years in the Swiss Rally Championship and is using it today on Slowly Sideways events. Mehr >

For many years, Franz used to be the co-driver of Wilfried Wiedner. They drove mainly in Austria but also appeared on an international scale where they even came second overall on the 1985 WRC Argentina Rally in a private Audi Quattro. From 1972 onwards, he was also a fan of Alpine cars and owns an A110 ever since. In 2014, this A 310 came on the market and Franz could not resist. Mehr >

de Mevius, Gregoire
This Ford is a factory car (chassis #9) built by M-Sport and managed by M.L.P. It is the first WRC built by M-Sport and not a "rebuilt" Group A as the first Chassis 1-6 were. The car appears in the livery of the 1997 San Remo Rally where the team unfortunately retired due to gearbox failure. Over the last 3 years the car has been extensively restored and is now to "active" factory standard with X-Trac sequential gearbox and active front and centre differentials and has a large 378mm Brembo front brake. Biasion
The exact history of this Lancia is still somewhat in the dark. It was driven in Italy by Renato Biccianto and then came to Salzburg. Christian Windischberger bought it in 2013 and has been driving it regularly at various historic events ever since. Mehr >

Claus-Peter Wehner had already been a Slowly Sideways regular before 2015 driving a different 635 CSI which proved to be quite unreliable. Then, at the end of 2014, he got the chance to purchase another 635 CSI which had been used in circuit racing. He bought this car and turned it into a precise copy of the BMW used on the Corte Inglese Rally in 1985. Mehr >

Dieter Walterscheid bought this Corolla in Belgium in 2013 with a 1200 cc engine and with automatic transmission, various rust holes and rear damage, but otherwise in quite good condition. A lot of research and picture searches for the right parts were necessary to buy the right parts all over the world (Belgium, Japan, USA, Canada, Denmark, Australia, New Zealand, France, Portugal, Spain, Poland, Italy, England, Ireland) despite a well-stocked spare parts warehouse. The body was completely polished and restored. Mehr >

in a bunch of 4 cars and all of them where transferred to Group 4 rally cars. One of them was given to Jean Claude Andruet for the Tour de Corse and than transferred into Alitalia colours for the Monte Carlo Rally in 1975 and further used by Björn Waldegard on the Swedish Rally. Fred Walters car was first used on the Giro d’Italia by a privateer. It was lent by the factory to fill the class on this event and in summer 1975 the car was sold to the Scuderia Alberti from Pavia.
