ADAC Eifel Rallye Festival – Blending the Old with the New

The task facing the organisers of the eleventh edition of the ADAC Eifel Rally Festival is to keep all the good qualities of previous events but still find room for new innovations. On the weekend of July 27th to 29th, the picturesque town of Daun in the heart of the Volcanic Eifel will once again be a rendezvous for the worldwide fans of rallying and its history. More than one hundred and fifty original rally cars or true-to-the-original replicas will present the history of this fascinating sport in the hills and valleys around Daun.

ADAC Eifel Rallye Festival July 27th/29th, 2023

Friends of rallying worldwide – and of historic rally cars in particular – should highlight the date of July 27th/29th, 2023 in their diaries. Between those dates, the Volcanic Eifel region around Daun will once again be transformed into a mobile rally museum. More than one hundred and fifty rally cars, either originals or faithfully built contemporary replicas, will be exhibited on the Rally Mile in Daun.

ADAC Eifel Rallye Festival 2022 – A full house in the 'Home of historic motorsport’

After an involuntary break of two years, everyone was finally back: the participants, the organisers, the many helpers and the numerous fans. Only the Eifel weather turned a new page, as if it wanted to compensate everyone for the missing years The tenth edition of the Eifel Rallye Festival passed without any rain at all. There were high spirits among all participants as finally they could celebrate the anniversary Festival together.

The countdown has started, and the tension is rising. After two cancellations due to CV-19, the anniversary edition of the ADAC Eifel Rallye Festival will finally take place from July 21st. At the same time, this tenth edition of the largest mobile rally museum will be celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the World Rally Championship.

Wanted! The best pictures of the 2022 Eifel Rallye Festival

Also this year the photo competition of the Eifel Rally Festival will take place.

The winning photo 2019 of Bram Lambrechts might almost as well have been taken during the Safari Rally in 1985. At that time there was still a lot of black-and-white photography and printing, while the forest in the north of Kenya looks identical in some places to the Eifel location. The photo from 2019 illustrates in a very special way the concept of the Eifel Rallye Festival which is the possibility to present and preserve the history of the rally sport in a pure form.

The sale of the programme booklets has started and can be purchased at the following:

Aral petrol station Daun, ED petrol station Daun, Lotto Treff Brück Daun, Hotel Grafenwald Daun, Star petrol station Kelberg.

Programme booklets and event tickets are available at the Tourist Information in the Forum Daun.

 

 

ADAC Eifel Rallye Festival 2022 –Daun will be bursting at the seams

It will be a bit crowded in and around Daun when the participants and fans of the Eifel Rallye Festival gather in the Volcanic Eifel on the weekend from July 21/23, 2022. There will be one hundred and fifty-five historic rally cars and an additional twenty vehicles that comprise the stage-opening squad showing themselves to the fans on the demonstration stages and also on the rally mile in Daun. "Obviously, participants and fans are waiting for the Festival just as impatiently as we are", says organisation manager Otmar Anschütz. "Thanks to the huge rush for entries, we had to close the list early, while the pre-orders for tickets and programmes are already way above anything we've ever had before."
