A passionate model car collector from Germany has already photographed what we can expect on the last weekend of July. His picture shows all championship-winning cars present on the Eifel Rallye Festival in a scale of 1:43. As one can see, the theme "40 years of the WRC" is not taken too strictly for this champions parade which also includes all makes champions from the pre-WRC era. 1968 and 1969 were the very first years when international makes champions were crowned in the European Rally Championship. The from 1970 to 1972, the International Rally Championship for Makes was the top league in international rallying before the WRC started in 1973. On the Eifel Rallye Festival, these five championship-winning cars are also present.
