ADAC Eifel Rallye Festival: The entry list will open on February 1st 202

  • ‘The Cars of the Stars’ – a great variety from rally history.
  • New challenges for participants.
  • Ruben Zeltner: It's an honour.

A very important step in the preparation for the ADAC Eifel Rallye Festival that will run from July 24th to the 26th 2025 is the opening of the entry list. From February 1st, 2025, the race for the coveted starting places will begin. The first enquiries show that there will be great interest again this time in the demonstration drives in the Vulkaneifel region around Daun of the largest rolling rally museum. The selection of the entry of original or faithfully reproduced rally cars from the last sixty years is this year will be based on their former drivers. True to the 2025 motto ‘The Cars of the Stars’, the aim is to put together a selection of vehicles that is as diverse as possible all coming from drivers ranging from A for Aaltonen to Z for Zeltner. ‘Aaltonen and Zeltner and their cars will be in Daun in July, but there is still plenty of room in-between for other great cars from well-known drivers,‘ says Reinhard Klein who is looking forward to receiving the entries from the prospective applicants.

New challenges for participants
In addition to a new schedule – the demonstration stages will be driven on Friday and Saturday – participants and fans can also look forward to seeing some new roads. The timetable on Friday morning starts with the first stage on ‘Kelberger Land’, which begins with a loop in and around Bodenbach and includes a town crossing specifically at the request of the municipality of Gelenberg. After the second attempt at ‘Kelberger Land come the two stages at Hochkelberg with their spectacular switchbacks. These then conclude the Friday action.
Saturday starts with two new and very demanding stages. The stage near the legendary ‘Mantaloch’ is also new. “Due to construction work, we cannot use the original route along the “Mantaloch” this time. However, we have found a new spectator-friendly variant in the immediate vicinity,” explains Otmar Anschütz, head of the Festival organisation and Chairman of the organising club, the MSC Daun. The final of the two Saturday loops, the ‘Lehwald’ circuit, is a real classic of the Festival here in the volcanic Eifel region.

Ruben Zeltner: It's an honour
Ruben Zeltner, two-time German rally champion, will be coming to the Eifel Rallye Festival for the second time with his Porsche 911 GT3. ‘In addition to the demanding stages, it is above all the fascination of the many fans that makes driving here at the Festival so special,’ explains Zeltner. ’I also enjoy meeting so many colleagues and fans from the rally scene. And it was overwhelming to see just how many people came to the autograph session with all kinds of mementos for me to sign.’ But Zeltner is also enthusiastic about the sporting side: ‘It's not about getting the best time, but having the greatest possible fun. I have never taken part in an event where I have used the handbrake so often in a 911. I hope it's fun for the fans too.’ Zeltner's brief summary: ‘It will be an honour to be part of all this again.’
