Quentin und Albert Leibel fahren diesen originalen Autobianchi A112 schon seit 2017 oft bei historischen Veranstaltungen und erinnern damit an den Autobianchi Trofeo Cup.

Gestern: Ennio Vernengo/Stefano Bertilone, Rallye Sanremo-Trofeo A112 Abarth
Die FIAT Gruppe hatte ja schon seit 1971 den Autobianchi A112 im Angebot und beschloss, als dieser 1975 einen 1059 ccm-Motor mit 70 PS bekam, einen Cup für Nachwuchsfahrer im Rallyesport zu kreieren. So entstand der A112 Tropheo. Attilio Bettega, Gianfranco Cunico, Fabrizio Tabaton und Paolo Fabbri fingen in diesem Cup an zu driften. Die A112 fuhren gewöhnlich hinter dem Hauptfeld einer größeren Rallye hinterher mit eigenen Startnummern. Oft fuhren sie auch nicht die ganze Distanz der Rallye, um die Kosten für die jungen Fahrer gering zu halten. So auch bei der Sanremo Rallye 1984 wo Ennio Vernengo den fünften Platz in diesem Cup und diesem Auto belegte.

The FIAT Group had already been offering the Autobianchi A112 since 1971 and decided, when it got a 1059 cc engine with 70 hp in 1975, to create a cup for young rally drivers. This is how the A112 Tropheo was born. Attilio Bettega, Gianfranco Cunico, Fabrizio Tabaton and Paolo Fabbri started sliding in this Cup. The A112s usually drove behind the main field of a larger rally with their own start numbers. Often they did not drive the whole distance of the rally to keep the costs low for the young drivers. This was the case in the 1984 Sanremo Rally where Ennio Vernengo finished fifth in this Cup and this car.

Le groupe FIAT proposait déjà l'Autobianchi A112 depuis 1971 et décida, lorsqu'elle reçut un moteur de 1059 cm3 et 70 ch en 1975, de créer une coupe pour les jeunes pilotes de rallye. C'est ainsi qu'est née l'A112 Tropheo. Attilio Bettega, Gianfranco Cunico, Fabrizio Tabaton et Paolo Fabbri ont commencé à glisser dans cette coupe. Les A112 roulaient généralement derrière le peloton principal d'un grand rallye avec leurs propres numéros de départ. Souvent, elles ne parcouraient pas toute la distance du rallye afin de maintenir des coûts bas pour les jeunes pilotes. Ce fut le cas lors du Rallye Sanremo 1984 où Ennio Vernengo termina cinquième de cette coupe avec une voiture comme celle-ci.
