Walter Münch ist großer Röhrl Fan und hat sich deshalb von der Firma SG Power diesen Quattro nachbauen lassen. Die Karosse ist wie bei anderen „Kurzen“ auch, aus verschiedenen Audi Typen zusammengeschweißt worden. Die vollen 550 PS des Quattros wollen aber mit Respekt bewegt werden. Für das Eifel Rallye Festival 2026 wird er ihn aber für die Stig Blomqvist Gruppe umkleben.

Nachdem der Sport Quattro S1 E2 homologiert war, schickte Audi einen zum WM-Lauf nach Argentinien und als Fahrer war Stig Blomqvist auserkoren. Allerdings schied er mit Motorschaden vorzeitig aus und Audi merkte auch schnell das die große Frontschürze des neuen Autos sind so wirklich ideal für tief Flußdurchfahrten war und einfach wegflog. Beim zweiten Einsatz von Stig mit dem E2 bei der Finnland Rallye klappt es schon viel besser und er wurde zweiter und gewann dann noch die Showveranstaltung Masters International in Scheden.

Walter Münch is a big Röhrl fan and therefore asked SG Power to build this Sport Quattro for him. The body was welded together from different Audi types as it was done in the past with the originals too. The full 550 HP of this Quattro want to be driven with respect. However, for the 2026 Eifel Rally Festival, he will be restickered for the Stig Blomqvist Group.

Yesterday: Stig Blomqvist/Björn Cederberg, 1985 Rally Finland
Once the Sport Quattro S1 E2 had been homologated, Audi sent one to the World Championship round in Argentina, with Stig Blomqvist chosen as the driver. However, he retired early with engine failure and Audi quickly realised that the new car’s large front spoiler wasn’t really ideal for deep river crossings and simply flew off. On Stig’s second outing with the E2 at the Rally Finland, things went much better and he finished second, before going on to win the Masters International show event in Sweden.

Walter Münch est un grand fan de Röhrl et a donc demandé à SG Power de lui fabriquer cette Sport Quattro. La carrosserie a été soudée entre différents types Audi, comme c’était le cas auparavant avec les originales. Les 550 CV de cette Quattro doivent être conduits avec respect. Pour l’Eifel Rallye Festival 2026, il le décorera toutefois aux couleurs du groupe Stig Blomqvist.

Une fois la Sport Quattro S1 E2 homologuée, Audi en a envoyé une sur la manche du Championnat du monde en Argentine, avec Stig Blomqvist aux commandes. Cependant, il a dû abandonner prématurément à cause d’une panne moteur, et Audi s’est rapidement rendu compte que le grand aileron avant de la nouvelle voiture n’était pas vraiment adapté aux traversées de rivières profondes et s’était tout simplement détaché. Lors de la deuxième sortie de Stig avec l’E2 au Rallye de Finlande, les choses se sont beaucoup mieux passées et il a terminé deuxième, avant de remporter l’épreuve de démonstration Masters International en Suède.
