Heute: Will Nicholls/Nick Broom, Großbritannien
Nach seinen Werkseinsätzen wurde Chassis 026 im Jahare 2004 in Slowenien gefahren und kam 2005 nach Großbritannien, wo Peter Egerton ihn noch regelmäßig bis 2014 fuhr. Für Will Nicholls ist dieser Hyundai eine Neuerwerbung und wir freuen uns auf seinen Besuch beim Eifel Rallye Festival.

Gestern: Freddy Loix/Sven Smeets, Deutschland Rallye 2003
Dieser Hyundai Accent WRC (Chassis 026) fuhr seine erste Rallye im Jahr 2003 mit Freddy Loix und Sven Smets in Griechenland bei der Akropolis Rallye. Dann folgten Einsätze bei der Deutschland und Australien Rallye in demselben Jahr. In Griechenland schied er mit Aufhängungsschaden aus, dann folgten Platz 11 in Deutschland und Platz 8 in Australien. Am Ende der Saison 2003 meldete das ausführende Team MSD Konkurs an, Hyundai Korea fing die Finanzprobleme des Teams nicht auf und ließ fast alle Zulieferer mit offenen Rechnung im Leeren stehen.

Following its factory events, Chassis 026 was driven in Slovenia in 2004 and came to Great Britain in 2005, where Peter Egerton continued to drive it regularly until 2014. This Hyundai is a new acquisition for Will Nicholls and we look forward to his visit to the Eifel Rallye Festival.

Yesterday: Freddy Loix/Sven Smeets, 2003 Rallye Deutschland
This Hyundai Accent WRC (Chassis 026) competed in its first rally in 2003 with Freddy Loix and Sven Smeets in Greece at the Acropolis Rally. This was followed by appearances at the Rallye Deutschland and Rally Australia in the same year. In Greece, it retired with suspension damage, followed by 11th place in Germany and 8th place in Australia. At the end of the 2003 season, the operating team MSD filed for bankruptcy; Hyundai Korea did not step in to resolve the team’s financial problems and left almost all suppliers high and dry with unpaid bills.

Après ses engagements en équipe d’usine, le châssis 026 a couru en Slovénie en 2004 avant d’arriver en Grande-Bretagne en 2005, où Peter Egerton l’a piloté régulièrement jusqu’en 2014. Pour Will Nicholls, cette Hyundai est une nouvelle acquisition et nous nous réjouissons de sa participation à l’Eifel Rallye Festival.

Cette Hyundai Accent WRC (châssis 026) a disputé son premier rallye en 2003 avec Freddy Loix et Sven Smeets en Grèce, lors du Rallye de l’Acropole. Elle a ensuite participé aux Rallyes d’Allemagne et d’Australie la même année. En Grèce, elle a abandonné en raison d’un problème de suspension, puis a terminé 11e en Allemagne et 8e en Australie. À la fin de la saison 2003, l’équipe MSD a déposé le bilan ; Hyundai Corée n’a pas pris en charge les problèmes financiers de l’équipe et a laissé presque tous les fournisseurs dans l’expectative avec des factures impayées.
